DAY02 BEIJING

Arrive Beijing in the afternoon. Welcome to the capital of China. Your national guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to 4-star Xinqiao Hotel with prime downtown location. (D)

DAY03 BEIJING

Today you will tour the Forbidden City, the imperial palace where you will marvel at its magnitude and grandeur. More than two dozen emperors of two dynasties used to live in this huge palace for over 500 years till early twentieth century. The beautiful Summer Palace and Tian An Men Square are also on today's agenda. A Peking Opera performance is scheduled after dinner. (B/L/D)

DAY04 BEIJING

Your dream will come true when you walk on the mighty Great Wall today. At Badaling, 50 miles north of Beijing, the Great Wall you are seeing is 7.8 meters in height and 5.8 meters in width. The wall stretches across China for about 4,000 miles. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ming Tombs tucked away in rolling hills. A Peking Duck dinner is planned. (B/L/D)

Today is a free day for you to rest or explore on your own. (B)

DAY06 BEIJING - XIAN

Fly on to Xian via China domestic airlines. Arrive Xian in the afternoon and transfer to 4-star Garden Hotel. Tour ancient City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. (B/L/D)

DAY07 XIAN

Full day tour of the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, the Huaqing Hot Springs and the Bangpo Neolithic Commune Museum. Enjoy a Tang Dynasty Music Show after dinner. (B/L/D)

DAY08 XIAN - HANGZHOU

Enjoy some free time in the morning. Your flight will leave Xian for Hangzhou at noon. Transfer to 4-star Wanghu Hotel upon arrival. (B/L/D)

DAY09 HANGZHOU

The beautiful West Lake has been the subject of Chinese painters since the 6th century. A cruise on the lake is a must for tourists far and near. However, Hangzhou's natural beauty extends beyond the lake. You will also visit the Lingyin Temple and a famous tea plantation. (B/L/D)

DAY10 HANGZHOU - SUZHOU

Take a scenic train ride (3 hours) through the rice paddies for Suzhou. Visit Lingering Garden and Pan Gate. Overnight at 4-star Suzhou Hotel. (B/L/D)

DAY11 SUZHOU

Tour Tiger Hill, Fish Net Master's Garden, a silk factory and the Embroidery Institute. (B/L/D)

DAY12 SUZHOU - WUXI

Take a boat ride to Wuxi on the Grand Canal. Transfer to 4-star Hubin Hotel upon arrival. Visit a clay figurine work shop and tour the Xi Hui Garden. A cruise on the beautiful Taihu Lake is also scheduled. (B/L/D)

DAY13 WUXI - SHANGHAI

Depart via Train T1 at 10:08, arrive at 11:25 and transfer to 3-star East China Hotel. Your tour today will take you to the Jade Buddha Temple and the Yu Yuan Garden. (B/L/D)

You can explore the Bund, Children's Palace and Nanking Road. An acrobatic show is arranged after dinner. (B/L/D)

DAY15 SHANGHAI - HOME CITY
